Biography
| Tsun-Yu Hsiao was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, R.O.C. on May 17, 1961. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering (EE) from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, in 1984 and 1986 respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in EE from National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU), Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 2008. Since 1988, he has been with the Department of System Operation, Taiwan Power Company (TPC), where he is currently as the Chief of Kaohsiung Operation Section. Dr. Hsiao has been with the Department of EE at NSYSU as a part-time assistant professor since 2011. His research interests include power system operation and analysis, economic dispatch, power quality, reliability and risk assessment, protective relaying, and special protection system. |
